Plan Overview

Benefits
Emergency Medical	Up to $5,000,000 CDN includes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, multilingual Manulife Global Assistance Services. You will be provided a toll-free number to use from anywhere if you need emergency medical assistance. Where possible, you will have covered medical bills paid up-front and will be provided with assistance for other medical needs such as an arrangement of air ambulance services, referral to a physician at your destination or for complete arrangements to return you home for emergency medical care, if necessary.
Pre-existing Conditions: We will not pay any expenses relating to a pre-existing condition that was not stable in the 3 months before you leave home. In addition to that requirement, we will not cover any expenses relating to: your heart condition if, within the required period of being stable, it has not been stable or you have taken any form of Nitroglycerine for the relief of angina pain; and/or your lung condition if, within the required period of being stable, it has not been stable or you required treatment with Oxygen or Prednisone for your lung condition. Eligibility You must be a resident of Canada and covered under a government health insurance plan.

Features - Medical

Covered medical bills are paid up-front. You can leave the hospital without having to put any or large hospital bills on your credit card and/or worry about credit limits.
Costs for an ambulance, crutches or even a chiropractor are available if your injury is a result of an insured risk. These are benefits that are not paid for by Government Health Insurance Plans.
To calculate the rate for your family, take the rate of the eldest (or only) parent under 55 years of age and multiply it by 2.
Family coverage is available to you if all family members to be insured are over 30 days and under 55 years of age and you have purchased and paid for family coverage.
