Basic Medical Benefits

• Hospital benefits; up to overall coverage limit
• Medical, surgical and diagnostic benefits; up to overall coverage limit (except limit of $15,000 on private duty nursing)
• Ambulance services (including mountain and sea rescue); up to overall coverage limit
• Emergency air ambulance transportation when approved in advance by the insurer; up to overall coverage limit

Extended Medical Benefits

• Prescription drugs when prescribed for an emergency; to a limit of $10,000 or a 30-day supply
• Specialists (physiotherapist, chiropractor, chiropodist, osteopath or podiatrist) when deemed essential by the attending physician; to a maximum of $600 per policy per practitioner
• Psychiatric treatment when deemed essential by the attending physician; to a limit of $1,000 per policy
• Non-emergency treatment required as a direct result after the treatment of an emergency; to a limit of $3,000
• One eye examination within a 12-month period
• Treatment for pregnancy or complications thereof (excluding childbirth or voluntary termination) if pregnancy commenced during the term of insurance; up to $25,000
• Accidental dental treatment; up to $5,000
• Emergency non-accidental dental treatment; up to $600
• Extraction of impacted wisdom teeth; up to $150 per tooth

Transportation, Death & Other Benefits

• Family transportation to the insured’s bedside when deemed necessary by the attending physician; limit of $5,000
• Early return to country of origin when deemed necessary by the attending physician; limit of $5,000
• Repatriation of remains; limit of $10,000
• Burial or cremation at place of death; limit of $5,000
